Chief Complaint:
Patient presented with chief complaint of fever, flank pain on the right side, hematuria, dysuria, urinary frequency and Urinary incontinence for the past three days.
Vitals:
BP: 120/81
Pulse : 81bpm
Temperature: 100 F
Labs Ordered:
Labs were ordered for CBC, urine analysis,
Lab results:
Labs reported gram negative bacilli grown organism isolated was klebsiella pneumoniae.
Suggestions:
Patient was referred to see her primary care physician for her UTI and was asked to follow-up asap regarding her medication and further plans labs showed susceptibility to chloramphenicol, aztreonam, tigecycline, trimethoprim, piperacillin-tazobactom.
Patient was suggested to follow up after seeing her PCP and was suggested to take antibiotics (Trimethoprim) and also get a Renal ultrasound to see if any evidence of staghorn calculi.
Follow up:
Patient followed up in a week with resolution of symptoms patient reported seeing the PCP and taking antibiotics for a week.
