Patient presented with chief complaint of fatigue, high fever, headache, diarrhea, constipation, abdominal pain, weight loss, and red spots on the body for the past 1 week. Patient has no past medical history and takes no medications.
Vitals:
BP: 130/70
Pulse: 90 bpm
Temperature: 101 F
Labs Ordered:
Labs were ordered for CBC, widal test
Lab results:
Labs reported positive for S.typhii
Diagnosis:
Patient was diagnosed with typhoid fever and recommended to follow-up with PCP as soon as possible. Patient should start taking antibiotics like ciprofloaxicin and eat healthy food and avoid fried food. Patient should also take multi-vitamins and vitamin D to help with the healing.
