42 year | Female

Chief Complaint:

Patient presented with chief complaint of fatigue, dizziness, pale skin, weakness, fever, nausea and vomiting for the past 3 days. Patient has no past medical history and takes no medications. Patient was inquired about OB/GYN history and she confirmed menorrhagia.

Vitals:

BP: 135/90

Pulse: 80 bpm

Temperature: 101 F

Labs Ordered:

Labs were ordered for CBC

Lab results:

Labs reported haemoglobin 11.9 Gm/Dl , packed cells volume 34.2%, mean corpuscular volume 63.4 FL, mean corpuscular haemoglobin 21.9 pg and platelet count 1.35 lakh/cumm which concluded anemia.

Diagnosis:

Patient was suggested to go for iron panel studies , B12 multivitamins and recommended to follow-up her PCP as soon as possible.
